The National Society of the Descendants of Washington’s Army at Valley Forge is a nonpolitical, nonsectarian hereditary patriotic society founded in 1909 to honor and perpetuate the memory of the soldiers who endured the encampment at Valley Forge during the winter of 1777–1778. The Society is dedicated to preserving the history, sacrifice, and perseverance that helped secure American independence.
